Golden, Colo. — CaucusRoom, an online community where conservatives can gather, network, encourage and mobilize around candidates and issues important to them, officially launched this week, providing a platform for voters to connect with others locally and get involved.

Founded by veteran politicos Matt Knoedler and Allen Fuller, CaucusRoom represents the culmination of nearly a decade of work identifying the needs of grassroots conservatives. The community started with a soft open in September, quickly adding several hundred members, and is now starting to expand.

CaucusRoom includes several unique features to elevate the quality of political conversation and organizing for conservatives. These include:

  • Bank-level verification of all members to ensure there are no “bots” or fake accounts.
  • Neighborhood feeds that connect members with other conservatives close to them.
  • Event directory to help members discover events and activities near them.
  • Groups to help members organize around issues, news, and projects important to them.

CaucusRoom also allows conservatives the ability to easily connect with their neighbors who share some of their political leanings. “I pulled up a map for a friend of mine to illustrate how many conservatives were in his neighborhood, he had no idea,” said Matt Knoedler, CaucusRoom’s Co-Founder and CEO. “He then told me that if only he’d known he was not alone on his street, he would have felt emboldened to put a candidate’s yard sign in front of his house.”

“Conservatives are naturally less vocal about our political views,” added Allen Fuller, CaucusRoom’s Co-Founder and COO, “but having a community where we can encourage each other and organize to get involved in our communities will help members feel less alone.”

Although CaucusRoom has launched in Colorado, the company plans to expand nationally. “The reception so far has completely exceeded our expectations. Now that we’re proving the model and building the foundation, expansion is our next step,” said Knoedler.

CaucusRoom is already grabbing the attention of conservative leaders in Colorado, including this tweet by the president of the free-market think tank Independence Institute, Jon Caldara.

About the name

Every election year, usually in the first week of March, Republican neighbors gather in “Caucus states” like Colorado, Iowa and Wyoming to discuss the upcoming elections, elect representatives to nominating assemblies, and sign up to volunteer or contribute towards their local candidates and causes. For candidates and activists, the caucus is an organized and accessible entry point to make their mark on local, state and national politics. CaucusRoom is designed to enhance that experience, and make it available in neighborhoods year round, whether you live in a caucus state or not.
